    Is my gorgeous little lady about to lay soon?

    My beautiful Australorp little lady Nubia is 15 was soon to be 16 weeks. From what I’ve read when a pullets comb gets red they are close laying. I’m worried that I have very little time and I need to fix my nesting box. Is it time to put out the oyster shell calcium?

    Okay, I live in Missouri, USA. When do chickens in this region start laying again after winter? Daylight savings time starts back up March of next year. That means there is longer days, right? I don't know. I'm getting an itch to hatch some chicks, but know it's best for them (and me) to wait...
