I was candling for internal pips in a Turkey egg on day 27, then the egg slipped out of my hand and fell 4 inches onto my desk. At first I thought it was ok and then I felt these cracks on the pointy end, membrane is fine, but the chick hadn’t pipped internally yet.
It’s still showing movement...
I have been incubating my hens fertile eggs since July 1st. The eggs range from day 5-day 27. I would’ve loved her to raise them, except that she wasn’t Broody. But all of a sudden she’s gone fully broody, barely ever leaves her box, Poofed up, stopped laying. Definitely broody.
Now I’m unsure...
This my first time incubating eggs, and it’s my own turkeys eggs. I witnessed a successful breeding, so they should be fertile. I can find very little about Turkey egg development, so I figured I might as well post here.

Ok, so last year my husband bought some broad breasted turkeys. After getting them I was doing research which everything said they could not naturally breed. So, that's fine and all, but went to make one for breakfast this morning and to me... this turkey egg looks fertile?
