What size container could a citrus tree and/or olive tree stay in forever?

In the future I plan to get some patio trees that I saw at TSC (Olive, Kumquat, and Citrus). When I look this up everything I find just says to start in a 5 gal and increase container size every few years. Is their a container I could keep them in forever? Thanks,
