Hi I have 5 chicks and no clue the breed or gender. They are 3 weeks and because I don't know what breeds I'm finding it hard to sex them. I'm not allowed to keep cockerels so would love to know ASAP so I can find them homes. Here are some pictures, I have numbered each chick from 1-5 TIA

3 weeks is usually too young to tell gender accurately if you aren't sure what kind of chicken you have. Male specific feathering won't come in for a few more weeks yet and feather sexing is only accurate if the chicks come from a line that has been bred specially for it. Comb size and color is the most reliable way to determine gender on chickens of unknown provenance, but Eve that isn't what I would consider "accurate" at this age. Some girls "comb up" early and some boys take forever to develop.

One and five are both much pinker than I would expect pullets to be at three weeks, but I wouldn't feel certain enough to rehome them at this point. The other three could go either way.
