“Newbie” Housing ???

We will be raising 25 meat birds in our man cave. Once they start getting bigger, how high do the walls have to be & is a cover necessary to keep them from flying out? Thank you.

Meat birds (cornish cross) are heavy birds and can never fly because of their weight. So you only need a cover on top to keep predators out.

Are you raising indoors Joy? You will probably need at least 6 ft if you're going try to go w/o a cover. Unless they have a way to stair step up I don't think I've ever seen them get much more of an "up" than that

Oh I took "meat birds" as a generic term. Sorry guess I misunderstood the question

My bad....I should have used proper terminology. We have ordered White Rocks.

Chicks are okay for a time being..As they grow they can fly out. Then they become too heavy.
Man cave?...Hmmm? In Canada that's the basement..25 stinking Birds in a basement would be a nightmare..
