*Previously titled: "Identifying Trio Of Ducklings"

* Original Post: Decided to raise ducks again. Looking to identify 3 ducklings pictured below. I am already aware the large one is a Pekin (only 5 days older than the rest). These are the casual pics I had on hand, I can get better ones tommorow if needed.

#1: Pure black Cayuga
#2: Pure dark brown Khaki Campbell
#3: Crested, black is the main color, yellow belly with a single yellow stripe on each side of his face

I could be wrong as I don't know the depth of breeding, just general duck breeds, but it looks to me like your black/yellow/crested could possibly be a golden 300 (only Metzer farms and another hatchery does these I think), but I've never seen one with a crest, so another breed that looks similar to this could be a black Swedish.

Pure black looks like a cayuga, pure brown looks like a Khaki Campbell. I am curious what hatchery are they from?

From TSC, Hoover Hatchery, I believe. The Pekin arrived with wry neck and the crested has some nerolgical issues. Both are doing well, though
Oh yeah it is Hoover's Hatchery that also does golden 300s, so my best bet is that little guy is a Golden 300. So sorry about what happened with your ducklings! How are they doing now?

The Pekin is fully recovered from his wry neck but nothing can really be done about the crested duckling. Issue originates from the inherent skull deformity in crested ducks. I was fully aware of their issues when I took them in!

His head is held in a slightly tilted position and when he runs he can only go in circles. He can feed and water himself just fine though when walking.

Aww poor thing, but glad you did your research beforehand, most people don't realize this. Happy to hear about the pekin.

The ducklings have outgrown their brooder so during the day they're in a big exercise pen. The Pekin, Richard, turns 3 weeks old tommorow and is roughly the size of a football lol
