Hi,

I agree. Ugh, I’m heartbroken šŸ’”
Hi,

I’m heartbroken as well. We want these babies so much!
I’m wracking my brains as to why I’m losing them all at around the same time period.

I had to do eggtopsy to see if I could possibly see any issues, but she/he was a perfectly formed 22 day old duckling. Even started to get some little feathers. 😢

I’m actually going to post some photos, as maybe a seasoned professional could pick up something I’m not seeing.
The air sac was the correct size and the temperature is better 37.6 - 37.8 C.
The humidity is 44% but dips overnight to about 34%.
I was getting up overnight every few hours to fuss with the humidity during the night, but with 2 young children and all my other responsibilities I was getting exhausted and not being able to get back to sleep.
It could quite possibly be my fault for allowing the humidity to drop, but my incubator just cannot keep it regulated.

There could be many other factors as well. As I mentioned my girl was been laying since January 23rd and never went broody. This was her first clutch as well. And she just laid ANOTHER this morning!
All have been fertile, but I fear for her health because she’s been laying for almost a full month now and I can’t imagine that could be normal. 21 eggs so far.
I’m actually thinking of separating her from my male because he just won’t leave her alone, but then I worry she’ll get lonely and depressed. I don’t know what to do at this point! :he

Thank you very much for your reply.

Blessings,
Amy
