🤢🤢🤢🤢 rancid smelling egg

I have some eggs in an incubator all the chicks appear to be alive in them they all respond to light when they’re being candled. But I have 1 eggs that smells so horrible.

It’s due to hatch in a few days but omg it smells god awful.

I’ve never had an egg smell like this in the incubator. Is it dying?

If it smells that bad, I would toss it before it explodes and ruins your hatch.

Are you sure it's the chick? There's an off chance the egg is spoiled even there's a living chick though it's not hopeful for the chickens in that case.

Are you certain there is a moving chick inside it? I can think of no circumstance where a viable egg would smell 'rancid'. Could it be something else in the incubator?

When I set the egg on the counter, it moves because there’s a chick in it that’s fixing to hatch within a few days.

I found the bad egg. it was one that the embryo didn’t make it.
