I am building a outdoor 20x16x8 aviary, I need to try and figure out what wire to use. It is between these two types, 1/2x1/2 hardware cloth or 1x2 welded wire for outdoor aviary?

Would the 1/2x1/2 be hard to see though and ruin the view?
Would the Welded wire let weasels and stuff in?

This is for my Peafowl.

That is what I was thinking, Now for the top they say you want something soft so the birds don't fly up and break there necks, People recommend Net, I was thinking of that or using regular chicken wire, But couldn't the weasel scale the side and come down though the top?

I read someplace where a person wanted to use hardware cloth on the sides and chicken wire on the top. Someone replied that would be like putting a screen door on a submarine. All these varmints you want to keep out with 1/2 x 1/2 fabric cloth can climb...and, they will either squeeze through or rip open the chicken wire.

This is our 1/2" hardware cloth run for our chickens.

Part of the run has a hard roof and the other part has a hardware cloth roof. Run is a total of 16 x 10

Ok I picked up two 48" X 100 ft rolls of 1/2X1" Welded Wire, And I picked up a 150 ft roll of 72" Chicken wire for the top with 1 Inch Holes. Hope this is goo, I know it wasn't cheap.
