1/7 chicks!

Congratulations!
is this incubator or broody hen?
If incubator only remove the shells when the chick is no longer wet, so they dont get chilled.
If its a broody hen you can remove the shells from under her when you check under her.
I hope the rest hatch, what day are they?

This is by broody hen and this is day 21 first time

The other eggs may still hatch. Give them another day or 2.
I am assuming this is not stagared batch an all were started the same daY.
Provide a small container of chick starter and a chick waterer.
What breed are your chickens?
I just posted some pictures of my hen Carmelo and her chicks earlier this week.
If you can show us yours in a few days that would be great. We all love baby chicks!

Cute name mine is named Gertude and I believe she is an EE she is being a fabulous mother in the sense that she isn’t abandoning the eggs and she’s keeping the chick nice and warm. Most of my hens are EEs but our rooster is a barred rock and I have 2 austroloops. For sure about the other chicks hatching before I left today and saw that another egg had started to crack.
