1 day old chick scratches the lays on its back

My one day old chick will scratch, then fall over, and lay on its back. After about 10 seconds, it will get back up, usually after one of the other chicks go over to it and bumps it.

Just started eating and drinkin one hour ago.

Ideas, please

Did you hatch these out yourself? Chances are the chick is just really tired from hatching. Some of mine did this, too. If it is just now starting to eat and drink, it should stregthen up soon. They just look so fragile the day after they are born.

do you have vitamins in the waterer? I would say he/she is just plain exhausted.

Yes, I hatched them myself, born on Thursday. I will vitamin them up. She seems better now, guess she was just tired.
