1 egg each day for two days...now, none

My chicken layed her first egg on Friday am, another Saturday pm. Now, none since then. Is this typical?

Laying is tough work, must have needed a break. What breed is she? Consistant layers don't even lay every day but some get close. I have some that lay 5-6 week and some that lay 2-3.

They slow down when they get ready to molt, or when they get broody they just sit there and give you a grumpy face.

Hi, My newbies lay 2 days on and 1 day off or 1 day on and 2 days off. The oldest layer is getting a bit more regular than the others and its only been 3 weeks for her. Be patient they'll get the hang of it.
