Help, Black Orpingtn suddenly going off legs
I think it has hurt its right leg. They are very boisterous and it maybe got hurt?
Its on medicated chick crumb and has apple cider vinegar and multivits in its water.
Left it with others at moment as it didn't seem to be being bullied and didn't want to distress it further. But going to find smaller box and put beside them
Is this wrong?
Sny thoughts welcome, sm sick with worry snd should be working
Off to read leg injuries stuff
Thanks in advance for all kind help x

Do your vitamins have riboflavin on the label? Can you take a picture of the chick standing with you holding it, and make sure to get a clear shot of the legs? Vitamin B2 riboflavin deficiency could be possible, an injury, or something like a slipped tendon or leg bone deformity. You could make a chicken sling chair to use so the chick can eat and drink. Then take the chick out often to let it move around and exercise it’s legs.

It does. Site won't let me post video and put it in cat box besides others now. All settling down. Will try and take photo holding it later. Want it to rest just now

Managed to post pix and video link. It is standing and walking on textured cushioned surface have put in isolation cat box. It's lame though and legs lock and slip away if put on slippy surface. Looks high up from action. But I am basing ghat on horses, this is only 3 rd ever hatch

Hi Eggsessive
Have managed to attach photos and link to bideo
Have got it in a smaller box

It can stand and walk, would it do that if tendon slipped out?

Sorry to ask stupid questions, only second year with chickens and hatched 9 with no issues last year, so all very scary

Thanks Anny
