I've had my orphaned duckling for a week now and it seems to be doing great. (I'm starting to think it's a female cause it's getting louder...LOL) Wobbles has attached herself to a stuffed duck.
I want to thank everyone for all the advice. If was a nervous wreck at first. Starting to calm down now, but after reading posts and asking for advice, I feel more comfortable. As a matter of fact, my husband ordered 6 chicks and I ordered a Pekin duckling. I MAY end up with more than that since I am such a softy that when someone "rejects" any of the chicks they ordered, I take it home. Unfortunately, the chicks I've brought home have been too sick to servive, but Wobbles made it.
Sounds stupid I guess, but it makes me feel needed. I am use to fostering dogs, but can't right now.
Anyway, thank you again for advice. I will probably be on here a lot once the rest of our flock arrives.
