<1 week old chicks roosting?

Hi all! I have a little chick who is already taking naps on a chick sized roost. I was under the impression they wouldn't do this until 5 weeks old or so. Bad picture because it was taken though the netting of the brooder- if I open it they jump off.

It isn't that unusual. It all depends on the heat source, and how warm overall the brooder is. Warm enough they will try roosting.

My 2-3 week old littles love to roost! And they climb all over us to perch. We have two bantam cochins and they LOVE to be up high.
