I found one of my 1 year old Rhode Island reds standing wide-legged under my nesting boxes a couple hours ago. She had feces matting her feathers and frozen in some places as we just had a massive snowstorm. I soaked her bottom with warm water and a little epsom salts for about 9 minutes. Cleaned the poop away and the cloaca was seen to be free and able to open. I dried her with towel and blow dryer. She is now in heated garage. Temperature is kept at about 10 degrees. She has eaten and drank (water with an electrolytes and vitamins and a couple drops oregano oil) and is now sitting with eyes closed. Is there anything else to do for her?
