Our Pekin lays everyday like clockwork... Better than the chickens. Today is day 3 that she has not laid. I don't think she's taken a day off since she started laying. She is also having almost what I would describe as labored breathing. It doesn't seem hard for her to breathe, just bigger breaths where her entire body is expanding. I fear that she has a stuck egg, but don't know for sure. When I pick her up, I can't see an egg in her vent. I have her soaking in a warm bathtub of water to relax her backend muscles. She's been in her for over 30 minutes and is almost falling asleep; I believe she's quite relaxed. Any thoughts on what might be going on? It's the breathing that scares me, not the lack of eggs. She's bright-eyed, but not quite as active or noisy as usual. I posed this issues in the "Illness" section this morning with no responses. Thank you so much!
