10:40 PM I just killed a racoon

I am so so happy, I went out for a minute to shut down the water on the Garden and I spot him so my rifel was with me I waited a bit and Got him.

Now I can sleep better, when I know less preditor around my Coop.

I got one tonight too... I always hate to do it, but they mess up my trash and threaten ty chickens, so.....

I just had mine guy here eating the cat food on the porch again. He comes every night and leaves in the opposite direction of the coop. I'm confident my coop is predator proof, so unless he makes a move, I'll let him be. But the gun is always loaded, just in case....

good job!!!!!!!!! I went into the hen house the day before yesterday and there was a black snake inside a nesting box with two eggs inside the snake. Dh dispatched the snake! Hate to dispatch these wild creatures but we need to protect our flocks.

I am glad it is early (10:40p.m.). They always seem to wake me up around 2:30 a.m.-- not a way to wake up. Your coons must be early risers!
