10 day old bantam chciks fighting over roost

I propped a long <1/4 diameter branch in the brooder today mainly just out of curiousity. I really didn't think these lil gals would be ready to roost yet. Boy was I wrong. These 2 are knocking each other off for the "good" spot! It is too funny! I thought the would start trying to roost till much later. I guess I'm learning as I go!

Chicks will play fight over everything. They're so cute!

We've put a roost in the brooder once their little heads start getting necks. They start by just jumping over and then around 3 weeks, begin to hold on. They look so cute all lined up.
