Hi all. We are offering 10+ of our heritage barred rock hatching eggs. My grandfather raised these birds for over 10 years and kept only the best. There is NO hatchery blood in these whatsoever. These are some of those that he so proudly called his own. Only the best barred And the brightest yellow legs made it. Ours are terrific layers and you can bank on getting an egg from each of them almost everyday.the size on these rocks is tremendous. The eggs are a nice cream color and are medium- large. Our roosters weigh every bit of 12 pounds or more and our hens weigh about 9 to 10 pounds.if you are wanting some nice rocks....here you go....

We ship to the lower 48 states And will not be responsible for hatch rates or usps handling. We have been hatching 95% here at home. I guarantee fresh hatchable eggs.and great packaging!!! Payment is due at end of auction for prompt shipping. [email protected]. These will ship Wednesday.

Hi,
Would you happen to know where your grandfather originally got them? About the weights; did you actually weigh them or is that a guess? A standard Plymouth Rock cock should only be 9.5 pounds and hens 7.5.
Thanks,

Guessing on the weights.they sure do feel heavier than that.they are very large. They make our other barred rocks look like babies.I don't know where grandaddy got them from originally.his family had barred rocks for years. I do know that quite a few shows were won from his birds before he passed.
Gramma told me she didn't know either. But she knew everytime he came home from travelling- he brought back a few more....they'd eat the ones he didn't like....she even told me that they ate his favorite rooster after he spurred her ...he didn't know until after the fried chicken...gotta love those old time stories..sorry I couldn't be of more help.
