I’m new to the chicken mom thing. I ended up with 5 tiny chicks back in the beginning of May. A guy bought them from Atwoods, then decided to return them the next day.. of course... you can’t return chickens. Long story short, they needed a home and ended up at my house.
I have read threads and articles and looked at pictures for the last couple of months. I believe I have 3 Australorps and 2 Welsummers. But please correct me if I’m wrong... that’s the best guess I have, given the list of possible breeds from Atwoods’ supplier and looking at pics on google.
They are now around 10 weeks old. I have looked at hundreds of pics and felt pretty good that I had lucked into a group of pullets, because no one had a large comb to this point, no spurs forming, and no crowing. (I did recently have a 3 week old chick in the incubator, for a friend, who had spurs and crowed 😂😂 so I was feeling confident) But I need some professional help.
Summation: Will you help me sex and identify breeds on my 10 week old chicks? Please and thank you 🙏
(Each has a colored band on the right leg. I’ve included individual pics of each and a few group shots at the end)
