I have (4) 10 week old chicks. About 3 days ago one of my little ladies showed seemed to be having some trouble with one of her legs or her foot. She would walk on it and then just kind of fall over on it. I looked for any sign of injury but saw nothing. I separated her from the others just to give her some space, hoping that whatever it was would get better. However, she has been separated for 3 days now and it apears that both legs are giving out on her. Her feet are curled in and are not giving her any support. She is still completely aware of things, is eating well, is lovey dovey and just sits with me and chitter chatters to me. It is breaking my heart not knowing what is wrong and if it is something I could be helping her with. Or if she is suffering and I should just stop her suffering. I was born a city girl with a passion for animals, I married a farm boy. He is a little more immune to this type of things and suggests I stop her suffering. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO??!!! Any suggestions?

Thank you for the info. I have looked at the site you mentioned. There are a few things I will try to see if it helps. I read that a lack of riboflavin could be the reason she has this problem. She just had a nice meal of mackerel and swiss cheese, two foods with a lot of riboflavin I guess.
We shall see.......
