Flock of all 10 week old chickens (polish, barred rock, black star, sussex, bieldefelder, cochins, EE): 14 birds total.
My buff polish was acting a little slow yesterday- but still mostly normal..
Today she is barely moving. No mites. No wounds. All were vaccinated by Murray McMurray hatchery. I tried to get her to drink Quik Chik but barely got any in her. She's dying.🥺
I don't know why!
I gave the flock some blueberries and an ear of corn from my garden yesterday - no pesticides - and normal chick starter, but I've given them those treats before. No other chicken seems sick (yet)
It had rained a lot lately, there was a little white mold growing in the dirt under the hanging food container - could that have killed her if she pecked it?? I have shoveled it up and buried it now.

I had a chick that was just like this. Mine did pass away. The only advice I have is get it away from the others. Another one of my chicks got sick and died from it as well. Hope she gets better! Wish I had more advice to give.

Try to give her raw egg yolk to give her body something to run with. And maybe a quart of water with a teaspoon of suger, molasses or honey too, could she have gotten to cold or to hot?
We are in Mississippi. It's been in the 80s and rainy (so cooler than normal). Not much sun. Her run has plenty of shade. She has lots of fresh water.

How is she doing?

I'd first try giving her drops of sugar water. (1tsp sugar mixed into 1 cup water, add a pinch of salt if you wish).

Can you see if she's suffered a head injury?

What's her poop like, is she pooping?

Move her to someplace quiet and where you can monitor her.

Possible ingesting moldy feed could cause a quick decline, hard to know. It's good you shoveled up the area, feed can mold pretty quick in warm humid weather. Do check your feeder to make sure the feed hasn't gotten moldy too (it happens).

She passed away. I moved her into a pet carrier on my covered back deck last night. - fresh wood chips, small bowl of water with quik chick in it and put a raw egg yolk in there. She didn't touch any of it.. She was still breathing at midnight but was gone at 6am.

Oh no! I am so sorry, I hatched chicks for the first to this year and one had dwarfism, her name was mini, she passed away as well.

I'm sorry you lost your bird as well. It's frustrating.
I used to have quite a few chickens but I have taken a break for 5 years - just starting a flock again.
2 died within the first 3 days of delivery : a barred rock arrived with wry neck & my other buff polish died suddenly at 3 or 4 days old. So now the 2nd buff polish died! I have no buff polish left after this death. The two golden polish seem fine though and the rest of the flock.
They were vaccinated for mareks and coccidoisis with the hatchery so surely it isn't either of those??

I don't think I would be either, one thing to keep in mind is inbreeding, that can affect their health in ways we can not help. Alot of people don't think it hurts anything, but I have seen that it plays a big part in a birds quality of life.
