11 day old chick hopping and sleeps a lot

i have a sweet little polish bantum that was born with curled toes and a bent leg

i splinted her toes and they are now straight

but she wont put her left leg down! she hops everywhere

but she also sleeps much more than the others , ive tried splinting it but when i do she wont walk at all , she just sits and chirps constantly

i cant even seperate her cos she wants to cuddle the others , any ideas on what i can do or what it might be ?

It sounds like it is just some sort of defect probably and it also seems that it is causing her pain. I would give it a couple days and if there is no improvement you will probably have to cull her. No fun. Sorry. Also just my opinion so I hope I am wrong.

im keeping my eye on her! shes eating and drinking , but i think all the hoping is making her tired it must be hard work !

If she is acting normal and is eating and drinking than i dont think you will have to cull her, unless she looks like she is in a lot of pain. But if you do end up culling her please do it fast so she doesnt feel it, i just cant stand the thought of culling a little baby chick...

she was doing so well but ive just found her dead

she was fine a couple of hrs ago

she obviously had other things going on, gutted.

These things do happen but still every time it is a tragedy.
