11 hens, one nest - a pic

11 of my 14 hens all decided to use the same nest today. I don't like to disturb the hens when they're on the nest, so this is what I found when the last hen finally finished and got off the nest:

Aren't they pretty? The picture quality doesn't show it well, but most of the eggs are now the pink/tan color I've been waiting to see from my brahma hens.

Beautifull! Isnt it funny...they may have 5 or 6 nest boxes...but they all want the same one! Silly Girls!

LOL! Mine do that too. I have a low box outside for the chukars to sleep in, but the hens get in there to lay. 3 inside at once, with a waiting line outside!

Yup mine too...I think it's becasue the nest box is already warmed up

They are smarter then we think

The sight I'll never forget is Lilith straddling another hen and laying her egg on that hen's back! They were having nest box fights that day and a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
Lilith is the lowest ranking member of my flock and sometimes paybacks are sweet.
