Hey, y'all! I have been going back and forth on these, so now I would like some outside help! The hen is a Blue Wyandotte, Roo is a Black Jersey Giant. I will post their pics first, then a #1 black chick, #2 a gray chick, and #3 the other black chick. I feel like the first is a cockerel, the second is a pullet and the third....last week it was a girl, but now it has a darker comb than before! I have a ton of pics, and I've tried for 3 days to get the best ones, but please let me know if I need to do better!

Comb, wattles, and patchy color over the back and wings.
Okay, so in person, #1 is all dark, and #3 kind of fades from black to gray...but #2 fades from dark gray to light gray.

What confuses me is that #2 and 3 have longer tails, and have had since day 1. #1 is just now growing tail feathers in the past 2 weeks. Also, #3 hasn't had any color in the comb until the past couple of days.

I'm getting ready to make another thread about 3 more chicks, but they're several weeks younger.

Thanks, again!

That's what I was afraid of, thanks for confirming, y'all! So, how did you determine? Just the comb/wattles?

For me, it was mostly the comb and wattle development.

Sometimes, there can be "late bloomers". Good luck! :)

1 and 3 are cockerels. Tail growth is a myth. Sometimes if you have more than 1 cockerel you will have a late bloomer. I bet the red one will crow first also.

Would be great if you post adult photos of these. Would be interesting how they look like and how big , weight they are? Temperament?
