We so wanted this handsome chick to be a Pullet but no such luck. Of our 13 chicks, we know that two are Cockerels. This fella isn't as large as a large black Orpington that is also learning to crow, but this fella is the boss. The little Pullet is the smallest of our chicks and is rather timid. She doesn't go after treats like the rest of the flock but is healthy, just small. I like her coloring. If we have more Cockerels, shouldn't they be trying to crow too? These are the first chickens we have had since we were kids. I have been letting the daring ones out of their run a bit every day.
