115 degrees

I actually have a misting hose. They stay away from it, but maybe tomorrow they will show more interest.
You have to aim it above them and not on them. The one with the stand has a fine nozzle that provides area cooling mist. The ones that connect straight to a garden hose and turn to select are not very good at doing that

oh wow. Thanks for that information. I will be at Home Depot to look for one first thing in the morning.

When extreme temperatures arise, I freeze pieces of fruit in a block of ice. As it melts, they get a cold treat, and very cold water to drink up. That and a powerful fan works well. If it's very humid where you're at, try not to overuse the mister. If the ground of the run gets saturated, it'll be a breeding ground for bacteria. The misters work great in dry climates. If it's humid where you're at, you could run it until late afternoon, then cut it off so there's enough daylight to dry out the run.

It is going to be brutal today!

We are starting out at 75F for the low here today and that is about 20 degrees warmer than normal

20? That’s crazy! It’s 109 right now. We are trying to stay cool. Chickens seem totally fine so far! Thankfully
Last week we had lows in the mid fifties.

We are not as hot as you are today! accuweather says we are 103F at 3:31
