My blue/black/splash marans are laying for the season
My line of solid blues last year were my best yet. I developed them from Coppers, so I have great egg color. Birds are very large, feathered legs, correct tail set, eyes, and combs.
YOU WILL HATCH BLUE, BLACK, AND SPLASH CHICKS

Please Paypal immediately after auction to [email protected]
Will ship on Monday.

Here is a 1 year old hen with exceptional lacing.

This is a 2010 cockerel. He is awesome!! The birds I use for breeding have heavily feathered legs.... once in a while I hatch a clean legged bird (like this guy... hes still awesome though!)

Can you please tell me the size of eggs these Blue Marans produce? I am not familiar with them, but I do have a couple Cuckoo Marans, and their eggs are large, dark brown and gorgeous! What are their temperaments, especially of the roos in general? How is egg production in this breed? Here in Kansas, we have temps that have been 98-112 for the past 35 days or so, and of 21 laying hens, I am getting on average 4 eggs a day right now. How do the Marans do laying in heat and cold? Know I have asked a lot of questions, but I am trying to add to my flock with year around layers, as my egg customers are picking up, and they prefer large brown eggs. Also, will you be offering more for sale in the future? I currently have some guinea eggs in my incubator, so cannot get any hatching eggs right now, but soon! Thanks much!

Marans are a standard size birds.... egg are standard size as well. Temperamants are great..... never have had a nasty marans roo.
Egg production, depends on the line I think. mine are good layers. I do get eggs in the winter, however I have heard other people complain that their coppers are not good layers. This month heat index is above 100 and the hens are laying very well.
