I have a 12 week old chick raised from incubator , thrived very well until about 10 days ago I noticed it's back has got increasingly crooked as the days go by. It is eating well does not seem in pain. It's tail is leaning to her/his left and the spine seams twisted.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on.
It's a cross between a light Sussex and rohd island red (don't know how that's spelled) has some bantam from dads side.
It is free range
Hope someone can help

Moongarden,
We had a rooster chick that we saved. We were sure he would die. His back and beak were crooked, but he lived for several years. He was not a looker, but he turned out to be the best pet rooster! If I can find a picture of him, I will try to post it.

Thank you Tep Hen that is encouraging, Jerry is a favourite pet, thinks she is a cat she sit on my partners knee
so we would be reluctant to cull her, such a nice bird

This is Vulture. You can really see his crooked beak. More difficult to see is that his entire body cuves like a half-moon shape. Somewhere, I have photos showing that curvature, but I was not able to find them.

Oh wow! Love him already, is he a silky, he looks like our rooster we used to have he was missing his middle toes. That was my first thread. Some say "only a chicken" they obviously haven't kept chickens. You have put my mind to rest, I am sure jerry will be fine. Thank you for that.
