The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia!
My Peachick was in its small pen within the peacock pen when last night everyone went to hollaring.. Went out to check and found one of the Peachicks hanging off the side of its pen by its toe/foot.. Unsure which as I was holding a flashlight with one hand and trying to free her with the other. Once freed she would not stand. Brought inside and put her in brooder with a younger Peachick ( they are doing fine together) but unsure what I need to do for her. Last night she would not put any weight on it but thru the night she tried from time to time and now this afternoon she is doing so much better... Walking with a hobble and standing with full weight. She is eating, drinking and pooping fine. Do I just need to leave her alone in the more confined space for a few days or is there something else I should be doing? Oh, last night her leg and foot seemed a bit swollen but today all the swelling is gone. Hopefully the adults calling me out did so right after it happened and she wasn't hung up too long?!

I think all you could do is just let time heal it but try to prevent anymore trauma to the foot while healing.
