These two are 12 weeks old and no crowing yet. There is one smooth and one frizzled. No major comb or wattles on either. Thoughts? Thanks!

I'm saying pullets for both although the smooth feathered bird has very vague roo vibes (the longer top tail feathers, the seemingly pointy hackle feathers, the spiky crest).

@chuckachucka I have been goig back and forth with that one too! It doesn’t seem to have an all over pattern but I can’t tell if the other one does with the frizzle. :barnie

Neither one of them really have anything for a comb.
Their top poofs are both unique as well. Guess I’m be. Waiting on that one till an egg or a crow!

Well I hear stories all the time about late developing cockerels but every time I've had a chick I'm not sure about for aaaaages, it turns out to be a girl. The boys have always shown themselves very early. At 12 weeks old, the smooth one would have to be a very late bloomer to be a boy. You should know for sure within the next four weeks or so but I'm betting they are both pullets.

Thanks everyone!
@chuckachucka Mine have always been earlier developers as well even if I had over looked certain cockerel traits in hope it was a pullet. Fingers crossed they stay pullets over the next few weeks!
