That's a great spot for the coop! Mine is under trees and it helps in all types of weather.

Obviously I like digging in the dirt! The only real challenge is getting the coop to this location.

I will be reclaiming some real good topsoil from the backside of the property that gets eroded and washed to the back and use it to fill in the foundation under the open bottom of the coop. It's full of worms!
