Hello, me again!

So again, I was certain my wee Bessie was a girl but now the tail feathers have me sooo confused! Bessie is the same size/smaller than

wee Gertrude (also pictured) and has no wattles or comb yet but that tail is magnificent! Bessie is a mix breed but I'm pretty sure when I looked up pictures of all the possibilities, none of them had feathers like this.

Definitely a pullet, she has a female specific color pattern. Tail feathers get a little wonky/curvy as they move through their juvenile molts, it's normal.

Pullet, tail shape is a very poor indicator of gender especially at that age. In any case, her tail looks no different than I'd expect a pullet's tail to look
