My 2 BR pullets are now 13 weeks old and I am running out of the chick starter grower. I don't want to buy another 25LB bag for two chickens (it has taken them 3 month to eat 25LBs). Are they too young to start on layer pellets?

I disagree. They will be fine. Humans are too picky abou twhat they feed to animals as a whole. Chickens survived for eons on their own. Yours will too. Get the layer and supliment it with grass, whole oats, grit etc. Not a problem.

Good point antlers! I was just thinking my 12 week olds need to move into the big girl coop and don't want to hassle with how Im gonna keep them from the other feed and vise versa.
