I got 4 chicks 1.5 weeks ago from TSC and 1 of them seemed to be breathing more heavily than the others, but it was also a lot bigger, and I hadn't raised chicks in almost 2 years so second-guessed my own intuition. Now the chick is laying down a lot (still eating, drinking, growing well), but is sneezing and now 1 of the other chicks is sneezing too. The 2 other chicks appear fine and I would like to put them in another brooder, but it's too late this evening to get another heat lamp and they're too young to go without.

What do I do with the 2 sick chicks? If it's viral, I'm not sure there is much I can do. Any advice appreciated. I've never had a sick chicken before.

I always try to remember to wash my hands after handling the chicks. Really hope I haven't passed anything onto my laying flock. =(

On a side note, 2 of the chicks I got were Tetra Tints and 2 were Amberlinks. They look very similar, except 2 of them were slightly bigger (although TSC said they received them all the same day and should have been about the same age) and have been growing like monsters! Those are also the sick ones. I've raised 9 other varieties before and have never seen such enormous growth in such a short amount of time. Anyone have experience with these varieties?

Update: They did get better, however 2 of them turned out to be Cornish Rocks. At 8 weeks they can hardly walk and need to be processed. =( I've never done it before, so I found a nice woman from a local farm who says she'll come show me.
