Hi!!! I have a little four week old Easter egger, and the past couple of weeks, when we pet her, she rolls over into her side? Is this normal? Is she just kind of a quirky chicken? Is it a sign of a disease? She isn’t injured.... I’m stumped. She is our most docile sweety and always wanting to be held. I was wondering if maybe she’s just kinda weird and it’s a sign that she likes it when we pet her, kind of like how dogs roll over to be rubbed on their stomachs? Not sure if something is wrong, so please share your thoughts

By the way, she does eat and drink normally, and runs around with the others. She just always wants to fall asleep in our hands

I've seen chickens squat when you pet them, but I've never had one roll over. Does she still do it?

Yep! And we actually just found out that “she” is a he! He’s nearly 9 weeks old now, but very healthy!!! I still don’t understand it, but his siblings do it too now!!!
