Hello,
Our family is new to raising chickens. We picked up our chicks about 5 weeks ago. One of the chicks had curled toes so we put a paper splint on and it seems to have improved some. Now that we have moved the chicks out of the brooder into a larger space, it's clear that the chick is having trouble getting around. We think it may have splayed leg? She also opens and closes his mouth a lot but doesn't make much noise at all. Tonight we tried to hobble her legs but I don't know if it's too late for that. She tends to stay mostly wherever you put her. Is there more we should be doing? Can chicks like this have a good life? I really appreciate any insight. Thank you!
