I just got four Silver Laced Polish chicks on Friday and they all seemed fine until I check on them this morning. Three were running around, chirping, and eating but one was laying in the food dish and I thought it was just sleeping but when I gently moved it to try and wake it up it wouldn’t move farther then just barely lifting its head then just falling back down.
This is my first time raising chickens, my parents raised them when they were younger, and so I don’t know what could be wrong with her. I have given her water, egg yolk, and raw apple cider vinegar, separately but she hasn’t shown any signs of improvement. I thought she had pasty butt but I cleaned her off and that didn’t change anything. Any ideas what could be wrong?? By the way, when I ordered them I had the hatchery vaccinate them and they have a medicated feed as the hatchery only vaccinated them against Marek.
