Flocks in Portland, Tennessee?

Hi ya'll! So, I'm a resident in Portland, Tennessee, a small town by the border. Now, I know my hens are okay here. But I had another question- Are Roosters allowed? We do have a Tractor Supply that sells chicks right in town, so I figured they would be, but I'm not finding any information saying they are or arent. I'm hoping to add a Roo to my flock for protection of my girls and to be able to have my own flock grow without spending the $$ it costs. Can someone help me find out? Thanks!

In the city they may or may not be allowed. Check with the city ordinances. Just because Tractor Supply sells them that doesn't mean roosters or chickens are allowed. If you live in a home owners ASSociation, then I really doubt they allow chickens at all.

If you live far enough away from the city, and have few neighbors, then you could probably keep a rooster anyways. I have a rooster and how I keep him is simple, bribing the neighbors.
