trying to calibrate incubator--no thermometer agrees

Hello!
I managed to get a round steel brower incubator, and after getting a few parts, it is ready to 'go." The problem I am having is that I have an older digital thermometer and I know it runs a bit higher temperature due to the fact it was inside another incubator along with a computerized "Incukit' thermometer... The hygrometer did not work properly, so I bought another thermometer / hygrometer , and when I was trying to calibrate this older brower incubator, I put both digital thermometers side by side, and guess what?? ( this was before I turned up the heat a bit ) the older one read 83 F and the new one read 74 F ! - I shook my head and tried it again same thing happened..
So I went to the barn and got 2 different mercury medical thermometer that I use on the cows and shook them down and I put them inside-about 8 inches apart and cranked up the heat, turned it back on..
I came back later and one read 96 F and the other one read 102 F .... I shook them down and tried it again.. and came back later--once again it read 96 F and 102 F
O-K-A-Y .. how am I supposed to calibrate something when I have 4 different thermometers and none of them agree??
The older thermometer was fluctuating between 97 F and 101 F.... due to it running a bit higher than the computerized one I think it might be closer but I would like to have something decent that reads properly.
Anyone out there have a PROPER thermometer brand that was calibrated at the factory PROPERLY and reads properly that will not rip your wallet apart?? thanks!

You need the thermometers calibrated, or you need to get some new ones that are accurate to within tenths of a degree - I just bought two that I LOVE, that I checked with some others I have that are said to be accurate within a degree, and they were 3/10ths of a degree different, which is pretty darned close. To calibrate the ones you have, make ice water and put the thermometers in and see if they read 32 degrees. This is a very general description of calibrating thermometers, but I did it with mine, I put mostly ice and enough water to make sure the ice was loose in the glass, then put in the thermometers and left them for about 10 minutes and checked them. That said, most are not going to be accurate within more than a couple of degrees in either direction, unless you buy the ones that say they are.
These are the ones I just bought.

Calibrate all your thermometers. Put each one in an ice bath and see how close to 32 they read. There should be a way to zero out the digital one and reset it. With the mercury ones you'll just have to make adjustments to what it reads.

I have been trying to find information about re-calibrating them-- so far nothing for this model.. concerning the model you bought on Amazon---we do not have cell service in this area-- and it seems to require cell connection... how well an incubator works is not just the vents, air flow etc, but the components inside... I am trying to get this steel brower calibrated, never used it before,----Anyone out there have experience with brower? someone suggested a meat thermometer with probe saying they have to be calibrated -- anyone know?

that has been a big issue with several different digital thermometers saying different things...
