If I may ask how aggressive are your Welsummers toward you? I accidently got a Welsummer cockerel who is 9 weeks old today and I'm going to try and rehome him, but I don't want to give away an aggressive cockerel to anybody.
They are hard on the hens, but that may be because they are no acclimated to living in a flock with hens. We had 8 leghorn roos that were dominant over the 25 welsummers, but dogs took 7 of them out. :( They are more docile in truth than leghorns. Our most docile are in the hen flock and are one Buff Orp and one Dominque. The Dominique is the top of the flock of one other roo and 200 hens.

So, they are relatively mild, some will come close and eat scratch at my feet or out of my hand. 20 of them get along (more or less, below the injury level) fine. Plus they are really the prettiest roosters I have had, even the olive egger roos. Individuals always can act up. Ours live where they were hatched as young chicks and are not agressive due to being in an unknown area.
