14 month old Buff Orpington hen has gone blind

Her eyes looked just like the eye description for the Mareks disease that affects the eyes. No eye discharge or other clinical symptoms, just the grey eyes with pinpoint pupils and definately blind. I thought Mareks did not affect these older birds???

But, now I have another Buff, same age, that looks like her eyes may be starting to go too. This second hen is otherwise healthy and can still see. Rest of flock is healthy and happy looking, eating/drinking all normal.

Any ideas? Thank you.
 
I have a hen that is about 1 year old that has one eye that has done the same as yours. I also lost a hen and a roo to Marek's. And I have another hen that is suspect. From what I have read they can get infected at an earlier age and it can take a while for the disese to manifest. Also, there is MD that can hit them later.

I am sorry this is happening to you. I think this is much more prevalent than people know.
