Are these saddle feathers? Do I have another boy? This is the only light brahma I have so nothing to compare to of the same breed.

No crowing, and very sweet.

The face, comb and wattles are not bright red. My roosters had very early red wattles and combs and were crowing at 9-12 weeks. My hens the same age have the same red/pink wattles/comb right now. But the tail feathers, and possible saddle feathers really confuse me. Please help :)

Cockerel…

This is a terrible photo (screenshot from a video) of my 14 week old light Brahma earlier today. This is my first flock, so I’m not an expert on whether you have a male or female. I thought it could be a comparison for you though.

He is significantly bigger than the hens and started crowing at 12.5 weeks.

Thank you!!! I appreciate this. Yours seems to have bigger and redder wattles and comb. Mine has not crowed but my other roosters are chasing it to try to fight it. I will keep on waiting. I know it might be a he but I won't call it until he crows :).

It may also be a faster developing female…hoping for the best!

I've do not study really hard on Brahma chickens, but I do have one Dark Brahma hen and one Buff Brahma hen. Before I've had one Light Brahma rooster that's probably just about 4 months old when we had to send him away. I don't remember much about him except that he's definitely pretty small (smaller than my other chicks that we raised together, probably smaller than your light Brahma here) but I think his wattle is more red and more like a ... rose type wattle?
Can you take a closer picture of his/her whole body and his/her saddle feathers? I can't really see it very clear and it affect the idea of it's whether a roo or a hen.
