Can anyone give me guidance... my 14 week old rooster I noticed was off by himself laying in shade acting weird with labored breathing. I picked him up without a fight so I know something is wrong. I thought maybe heat so brought inside put fan on him gave electrolyte water and rooster booster b12 shot bc he wouldn't drink. He then started gasping and pooped this yellow egg yolk looking poop. I have separated from the rest of the flock but any guidance would help.

He started gasping after the shot? Where did you administer the shot?
Did you happen to syringe fluids into him?

What's his crop like?

What do you feed including treats?

Work on hydration, offer the electrolytes, but see if he will drink them on his own. If you have to syringe or tube fluids into him, review the articles below on how to do it.

Once he's hydrated and drinking, offer wet mushy chick starter to eat.

The poop has a lot of yellow urates, some intestinal shedding and mucous. If possible, get a fecal float to see if worms and coccidiosis are a problem. If that's not possible, then consider treating him. A sulfa antibiotic would be a better choice to use when treating Coccidiosis in this circumstance, but you can use Corid if that's all you can get. Safeguard (Fenbendazole) for deworming.

If you gave the rooster booster orally he could have gotten some down his windpipe which is why he was gasping
