Victoria was hatched May 21st. This morning she laid her first lil' fart egg. Her evil twin Hattie, on the other hand, has been a real pain lately and actually ran away from home and refused to come back to the coop last night. She was back this morning so I'm keeping them all in their pen until she agrees to behave.

One of my welsummers has started laying eggs, & she keeps laying these tiny little eggs too! They are so cute aren't they? It would take a dozen just to make an omlet!!

I've never gotten a strange egg before :/ All little, perfect eggs the first time :) My hens are a little too serious about laying eggs around this time of year :/ She's been laying these HUGE eggs for 3 days straight :/ I think she's trying to make sure I have enough for winter :D My loyal Cinnamon

I haven't found any more peewee eggs since the one that I posted about and am now thinking it wasn't Victoria after all.
It may have been one of my other hens having a weird egg day.
Usually I find that young starter pullets will keep laying small eggs and get 'em bigger gradually.
The older hens have been going through their summer moult and it may just have been a glitch.
