My husband tore down our outside pen and is rebuilding it. My coop itself is a 10x12 shed. On the right side of the coop we now have two outdoor pens. The one closest to the coop will have a roof over it. He's still building it, you can see it's open but it will be covered. Attached to the soon to be covered pen is an outdoor pen that will have bird netting. The Ador automatic chicken door closes off the uncovered outdoor pen from the enclosed pen. My husbands biggest complaint has always been about keeping up with watering the chickens. We live in the south and it gets really hot in the summer. He put together this water system that can be turned on from outside the pen. One fills the baby pool, one goes to the misters, one to the soaker hose and one fills the inside waterer.

I told my husband he needs to make me a master list. He did it all on his own. I can't take any credit for the water system. The roofing for the outside pen was delivered today. Still need to get the bird netting for the two outer uncovered pens. The chicknic table has been painted, courtesy of my 4 yr old granddaughter.

The chickens love to dust bathe on the left side. There's also a persimmon tree that drops fruit where the outside, uncovered pen is located. I've lost hens to a fox, loose dogs and a hawk. The bird netting will hopefully deter the hawk and I have a Yard Defender that is a motion sensor water sprayer thingy. It works. It's kept dogs away. Here's a video of what it looks like today, still mid remodel.
