-15 this morning and I have eggs in the mail

It is plumb cold this morning. -15 currently. Now I am worried about my eggs that are coming in the mail. I have 41/2 dozen on order. I wanted to get an early start this year.

With any luck the eggs are inside the mail truck - those little ones, or in th epost office where they will be warmer, its those HUGE trucks that obviously don't have any heat.

Folks have hatched eggs kept in the fridge - so you might still be ok.

i know how ya feel... i got eggs in beyond cold weather but so far at least 90% of them are growing so.. so far so good


i just woke up and looked out the window and there's snow every where...lol

-18 here this morning. This weather can sure take a hike! I didn't mind it much when I didn't have chickens but MAN O MAN when you have to go outside constantly you sure wish it were spring! I think your eggs are going to be ok as long as noone leaves them in the car. The Post Master told me that they are not allowed to leave the mail in the car overnight so hopefully they will be fine

I got my jan swap eggs yesterday and it was -11. they came through fine, none frozen
