I have the 15 and 10 week olds together. When the 15 week olds start laying and I

give them layer feed will it hurt to have that feed in with the 10 week olds? I guess

what I'm trying to say is, will it be ok for the 10 week olds to eat layer feed if they are

not laying at the time?

Thanks

You can start feeding layer as early as 14 to 15 weeks of age.

If the 15 week old pullets start laying in 4 to 8 weeks, then your 10 week old pullets will be old enough for layer feed.

You can put out some of both of the feeds. They will eat some of both. It won't hurt anything.

You can even put out Purina Flock Raiser and some free choice oyster shell for them all.

I have two feeders in the pen so should I put layer in one and grower in the other one or mix them together?

Should I wait a couple of weeks or should I start now?

They are not laying yet.

Can I put the oyster shell out now?
