So far everyone has said Pullet, how are we looking at 15 Weeks?
Comb is still small and Pullet Pink, but those Chunky Legs have always worried me.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear that! Everything about her looks like Pullet to me, but I'm always hearing
thick Legs = Definitely Cockerel.

Well, I really thought it was safe to go ahead and give "her" a Name and everything at 20 Weeks. Then these pointy Feathers started popping up. I'm still confused by (his?) lack of a Comb though. :barnie

My understanding is that at 20 weeks, if that was a cockrel he'd be crowing. One of my girls also had a big boyish tail like that at around that age, and then it fell off and never came back. She's really beefy at 8 months, but has not crowed, or displayed any rooster behaviours or feathering.

I think sometimes hens are just butch looking.

Either egg laying or crowing is the only way to know for sure, and sometimes that is a long wait 😔

That's a roo. It not all roosters that have big combs. There is many types and your boy has the kind of comb you often see on EE's.

EEs are kind of a pain to sex when young. They don't always pop those red shoulder feathers, or the other male feathering, when you think they should. OP, apparently you were right about those manly legs! Good call.
